Livar – Limburg Cloister Pig
The origin of Livar - Limburg Cloister Pig lies at Lilbosch Abbey in Echt, Limburg. Since 1999, the abbey has been collaborating with small-scale pig farmers in Limburg to raise Livar pigs. Livar meat has been awarded the Dutch Society for the Protection of Animals' 3-star 'Better Life' quality mark.
Wroeters
The distinctive outdoor pig is a crossbreed of carefully selected heritage breeds. They are raised on small-scale farms across the Netherlands, where they have the freedom to roam both indoors and outdoors, and to root and forage naturally in the Dutch soil to their heart’s content.
Private label
Meat Limburg supplies meat from outdoor-reared pigs to manufacturers who use our raw materials to produce their own private-label brands.
